 Shannon took to the drums when he was 5 years old so,
when he turned 6, his parents started him with lessons.
Early on he played with his elementary and high-school bands and learned by performing with a drum
corps. Locally he was a regional favorite with his school band and orchestra.
He has performed with bands such as Sofa King and Boogy Foot.
While out on the road with these bands, he met many talented artists and
musicians like the legendary Pine Top Perkins, Little Frank, Lonnie
Brooks, Carl Weathersby, Debra Coleman, and just recently, Eddy Money.
He played on the same stage with many of these artists and, when asked of
great moments, he will tell you that playing with Pine Top Perkins at Bucks
Working Mans Pub 2000 New Years Party was one of his favorites. Playing on
stage for the M.D.A. run with Eddy Money, meeting Richey Hayward and Little
Feat rate as some of his best moments.
More recently he has played with local
musicians in Moon
Travelers and the High Street Band and recorded with numerous
others.
Shannon has a number of recording projects in the
works. He started a recording studio and named it Rock Bottom Basement
Recordings. His credits include producing and recording Pound, a
Chicago based band and Eddy Lee and the Kynd Bros. with George Lewis
on guitar and Jay McDaniel on bass. Shannon is currently
recording Jimmy Nelson, who he is also adding drums and percussion
for. Additionally, Shannon is working on the Proto Project with John
Proteau. John is an acoustic guitarist, and talented song writer. Besides
playing drums and percussion with The Money & Fame Show, Shannon is
recording their new demo cd and the long awaited full length cd which will be
released on the Spotlite Records label.
